GRACE NAM 101.jpg
NEW. YORK, New York, Grace Nam . I became an attorney to help others, and I hope that my knowledge and skills are helping the Black Lives Matter movement. I’m broken-hearted and endlessly infuriated at the systemic racism, slavery, and genocide that Black people have experienced since 1619 at the hands of this country, and am dedicated to fighting alongside my Black family, friends, and neighbors until they are FREE in every sense of the word. I’d also like to acknowledge that my “activism” rests very lightly on top of centuries of the Black liberation and abolitionist movement. I’m extremely reluctant to call myself an “activist” or “ally” when there are countless people who have given their lives and freedoms for the cause. I’ll take “concerned citizen” instead. All praise and credit to the Black Lives Matter movement for the biggest civil and human rights movement ever.
